Been wondering where it was since WoW 2.0 came out? I’d been hoping to do a major rewrite that would have better interfaced ShoppingList with Auctioneer and the AH window… but life here at Area 52 has just been far too busy of late for me to juggle so many gadget projects. (Also, my day-trading employees in Ironforge and Ogrimmar have been getting along just fine without it.) Perhaps I’ll be able to return to this project in the future, but for now it’s officially dead.

If you’re looking for alternatives, I’d recommend the saved-search feature in Auctioneer.

• Fixed an issue where multiple turnins for the same faction involving the same item wouldn’t always be calculated in the proper order.
• Fixed error when watching The Sha’tar faction.
• It’s now more easily possible for third-party addon authors to make use of FactionFriend’s ability to calculate potential reputation gain from turnins (which may be useful for other addons that show reputation bars). See “API NOTES” at the bottom of the readme.

• FactionFriend now indicates more clearly when your potential reputation gain from turnins is enough to reach a new standing (e.g. Friendly vs. Honored):
  • The tooltip when mousing over the bar gains an extra line showing what your new standing would be after all turnins.
  • The “empty” part of the bar is partially shaded with the color for that standing instead of being completely transparent. (For example, if you have enough turnins to move from Hated to Hostile, the “empty” part of the bar will be semi-transparent red; but if you have enough to move all the way to Neutral, that part of the bar will be semi-transparent yellow.)
• Updated our database for tracking faction turnins:
  • Added two more Burning Crusade turnins: [Coilfang Armaments] for Cenarion Expedition and [Pair of Ivory Tusks] for The Consortium.
  • Fixed quantity on [Wastewander Water Pouch] turnin for Gadgetzan.
  • Added or corrected min/max standing requirements for several turnins.
  • Aldor and Scryer turnins available at Friendly and above will also increase your Sha’tar reputation (until Honored) — we now indicate this when watching Sha’tar reputation.
• Fixed an error when using the reputation watch bar right-click menu to switch watched factions.
• Fixed an error when mousing over the reputation bar (“bad argument #3 to string.format”) if the WoW client doesn’t have cached info about an item. Such items will now show in the “available turnins” tooltip as “Unknown Item” with an ID number. (This case is very uncommon; you must have items in your inventory or bank for them to show up in this tooltip, and the WoW client caches info for all items in your inventory and bank when you view them.)
• Fixed an issue where the marker “tick” on the reputation bar (for available rep from turnins) wouldn’t show when your current standing is Unfriendly or below.
• Fixed an issue with use of gender-appropriate standing names in WoW client localizations for which the difference is noticeable.

• Added a few new vendor recipes from recent WoW minor patches.
• Fixed our tables for a few vendors which were resulting in “can’t find location” errors.
• Fixed listings for a couple of neutral vendors which were listed as faction-specific.
• Fixed a couple of recipes which were listed at the wrong vendor price.
• Fixed some issues with hooking tooltips when other tooltip-modifying addons are present.
• Fixed a bug with checkboxes in the Options panel doing the opposite of what they say.
• Configuration chat commands have been removed in favor of the GUI options panel (type /ads to show).
• Fizzwidget FactionFriend v.2.0.4 (or newer) shows similar information in tooltips for some of the items in AdSpace; if it’s present and enabled, it’ll override AdSpace instead of letting the same information be present in the tooltip twice.

• ItemLevel 100 blue items disenchant to [Large Prismatic Shard] instead of Small, breaking the normal pattern. Our predictions now account for this.
• Fixed some issues with hooking tooltips when other tooltip-modifying addons are present.

• Right-clicking the reputation watch bar now shows a menu allowing you to quickly switch which faction it shows. (Based on AnduinLothar’s ReputationMenu.) TIP: Marking a faction as “Inactive” in the reputation pane will hide it in this menu.
• FactionFriend now identifies known faction turnin items in their tooltips. (This can be turned off in the Options window; type /ff or use the aforementioned new menu to bring it up.)
• Added [Uncatalogued Species] turnin for Cenarion Expedition (Burning Crusade).
• The Wildhammer Clan faction was removed in WoW patch 2.0.3, so we no longer track it.
• Updated German localization.

• Fixed several bugs in the food-choosing algorithm which tended to result in Feed-O-Matic choosing items you’ve told it to avoid.
• Eliminated the “fall back to otherwise-avoided foods if nothing else available” preference. Instead, there’s now an error message if you press the feed button when the only foods available are items you’ve told Feed-O-Matic to avoid. Hold Alt while pressing your Feed Pet keybinding (or Alt-left-click the happiness icon) to feed one of these items anyway.
• Mousing over the pet happiness icon now shows the next food to be used.
• We now keep a list of all foods known to be used in Cooking; the “Save foods used in Cooking recipes” option now has an additional setting for foods used in recipes your character hasn’t yet learned.
• You can now set two different key bindings for each action in Feed-O-Matic’s Options panel.
• Cut down on CPU usage a bit — if an inventory update affects only your quiver / ammo pouch, we’ll assume that nothing related to pet foods has changed.
• Reorganized the Options panel and reworded some options for better clarity.
• Fixed a bug that kept the /fom add and /fom remove commands from working properly.
• Removed chat commands for configuation settings which are present in the Options panel.
• Added [Conjured Croissant] to the built-in foods list.

• Added/corrected several vendor references. (Based largely to numerous user submissions. Thanks!)
• Fixed an error (with message referring to GetItemInfo(itemID|"name"|"itemlink")) that could sometimes appear when trying to show a tooltip.
• We no longer treat Grimoires for Warlock pet abilities as unknown recipes (and ask you to report them) when seeing them on a vendor.
