Did support for, ie. [Enchanting: Enchant Weapon – Strength] links vanish? this used to work for trade skills, but now does not.

  2. Curry Says:

Could you please add support for tradeskills, spells and Achievement system?

  3. Gazmik Fizzwidget Says:

Tradeskills and spells are already partially supported — you can search for them a la /link fur lining or /link kill shot, but they aren’t yet included in as-you-type auto-linking. In the current release, the merging of tradeskill and spell links means — for now — that it’s limited to searching via /link andyou can’t search for links that start with the tradeskill name (e.g. look for “enchant weapon – strength” instead of “enchanting: enchant weapon – strength”).

I plan to expand tradeskill/spell link support and add quest, talent, and achievement links in a future release, but my time is limited. So, as Blizzard often says, expect it “when it’s done”.

Currently, if you’re replying to someone in a WIM window, links are not auto-completed. What would have to be changed in order to auto-complete links in a WIM window (http://www.wimaddon.com)? Does WIM have build in support for Linkerator, or the other way around?

  5. Gazmik Fizzwidget Says:

Linkerator can only hook into Blizzard’s chat box — if you want Linkerator-style autocompletion in WIM, it’d have to come from WIM.

Is there a database of items we can insert into this addon so we can link everything even if we havent seen it lately? (i.e twink priest gloves that sell for 5000g cause they are sold once a year).

Many people already have this item, but seeing some1 link it into trade is RARE.

  7. Gazmik Fizzwidget Says:

Linkerator doesn’t use its own database — it relies on items known to your WoW client.

If you’d like to get a link for an item that normal Linkerator searches aren’t finding, you can try looking it up by itemID: e.g./link 16455 will query the server or items your client hasn’t seen… which might return an item or might disconnect you if the server hasn’t seen it either.
