Linkerator 2.2.1

  • Fixed an issue where typed characters could be lost when Linkerator attempts to complete a link in the chat input box.
  • The delay before link completion in chat can now be customized with the /link delay <seconds> command. (Fractional seconds are allowed; 0.25 is the default, which can be reset with /link delay reset.)

I love this little add-on. Is there any way to make it work with an add-on like TinyPad? I like to keep an armor “wish list” in a TinyPad note and being able to linkify them would be wonderful. Or perhaps I can hope for you to develop a wish list add-on yourself? 😉

Unfortunately, I’m too busy a goblin to have time for hooking Linkerator into every other third-party addon that could possibly benefit from its features… however, it’s pretty easy for the authors of such addons to hook into Linkerator if they so desire. Pass this on to those authors if you’d like to see that happen: the function FLT_ParseChatMessage(text), despite its misleading name, will return the text passed into it with any and all item names surrounded in brackets “linkified” (not just chat messages).
