Enchant Seller 1700.1

  • Updated TOC for WoW patch 1.7.
  • Improved parsing of enchant descriptions; should eliminate oddities in “spam” output for enchants that add a proc effect and more accuratly provide short descriptions of some other high-level enchants.
  • Cleaned up code shared with other Fizzwidget mods; should no longer produce cryptic error messages if you don’t have the latest versions of everything (starting with version 1700.1 of all mods).

how do you advertise to the trade channel? i tried es channel trade, but it says i have to be in a trade channel

  2. Magicmasta Says:

I installed this plugin (looks great) but it doesn’t seem to recognise any enchants when I try the spam/whisper function (I have enchanting window open)

  3. Axius Says:

Love your mod Gazmik its made my life a whole lot easier 🙂 . A GUI would be nice though . Maybe let you choose which enchants to advertise as the min price method is a bit restrictive .

  4. Axius Says:

To get it in trade you need to spell it Trade . Its case sensitive .

As for it not showing enchants try /es minprice 0 . Sets the price threshold down . Anything over that will display . Default is 10 Gold hence a lot of enchants wont display .

Another little gripe “Offering Enchants” I changed it in the .lua to Selling enchants as loats of people thought I was gonna give em away . This worked fine until I updated to 1700 and it replaced the lua file lol . Any way you can make it a seperately read file ie mytext.lua so the main file that gets updated always refers to the user specified text ? . Anyways gripe over 🙂

  5. Magicmasta Says:

I just tried /es minprice 0 and it still says it can’t find any enchants to spam 🙁

I’m a lvl 300 enchanter and have many enchants.. some even rare 😮

  6. Axius Says:

Have you tried installing the reagent data mod suggested in the readme and also auctioneer . Its possible another of your mods is intefering with it so you could try disabling them first.

  7. Nailz Says:

Hahahaha I found your add-ons yesterday and I LOVE how you made add-ons fun! I can hear the goblin voice now, “Daylight’s burning!”. Hahahaha!

The site looks great and the descriptions are just as good. I tried the Enchant Seller, but I found it doesn’t work with Enchant Sort (or whatever that add-on is). That’s not your fault, but could you either make it work with that or make your own version to sort enchants?

Thanks for all of your hard work!

  8. Magicmasta Says:

I have installed auctioner and reagent info. I can also see the reagent costs of enchants when I open the enchanting window.

  9. Banzai Says:

Found your site today and downloaded and installed almost all(minus hunter) of them and fell in love! Thanks for making my Enchanting Life Easier!

    Now onto my questions:

    1) EnchantSeller: /es minprice 5000 displays the SAME items as /es minprice 7500 (As I was typing this out I was verifying what I had seen, but this time I had moved from Ogrimmar to Crossroads to try and peddle my lower items and now it seems to be working correctly. I know I was having a problem, because I was trying to remove a 1.45g item and it wouldn’t leave! Oh well maybe I am hallucinating)

    2) EnchantSeller: /es markup doesn’t actually update unless you close your Enchanting window and reopen it. Minor thing, but was confusing me at first.

    c) I know this is the EnchantSeller , but I noticed in the Reagents section of my tradeskill screen, specifically for Leatherworking, the values are Highly crazy. Example: Devilsaur Leggings is showing a price of 180g or so, I can’t remember exactly but it was insane. Which didn’t make sense based on the Auctioneer data tooltip pricing for each item.

Thanks again for some great AddOns!

p.s. Does anyone know how I would make a macro that would:

    1) Open my Enchanting book, then do a /es spam?

  10. Axius Says:

I have Auctioneer,Reagent data, reagentinfo, disenchantpredictor installed with Enchantseller and it works fine on my WoW . All I can suggest is disable all your addons but the above and slowly add them back one by one til you find the conflict .

  11. Magicmasta Says:

I just did it. Also tried to update auctioneer to the latest version. Still won’t work 🙁

only mods I had on were auctioneer enhtooltip regentinfo and enchantseller

  12. Gazmik Fizzwidget Says:

Hmm.. I’m not sure what might be causing your problem, Magicmasta. Do you actually have reagents in your inventory for all the enchants you’re advertising? Currently, Enchant Seller only advertises enchants you can currently perform.

More flexibility for what to advertise, what text to use, and a GUI for easier setup are all things I’m working on for future releases.

Banzai: Opening your Enchanting window is actually a spell-cast as far as WoW’s interface is concerned. Just shift-click the Enchanting icon in your spellbook while making a macro, and it’ll insert /cast Enchanting(Journeyman) or similar. Put /es spam in after that and you’re set.

  13. Magicmasta Says:

That might be the problem, I keep all the reagents in the bank since my inv is full of alternative gears (FR sta and +dmg)

  14. Banzai Says:

    Thanks for the Answer!

You wouldn’t be able to(willing) to put in an ability to Show all Enchants in one’s book, regardless of materials on hand? I love being able to show my guildmate /es minprice 0 but they then ask about others that I don’ thave the mats for and I end up typing em out by hand 🙁

    Thanks again!

  15. Phone Says:

    Very handy addon. Some suggestions:

Tagline: The abbility to tack on a message to spam’s and whispers

Whisper Multi items: something like /es whisper phone gloves weapon

Whats on hand in your inventory and bank: Basically I should be able to advertise an enchant that I have mats for in the bank. This should be an option.

Timer: A timer to do the spam. – would be nice….

Ability to adjust margin or even just set price on a spcific enchant. Some enchants just bring more because they are rare.

Sorting: Probably outside of scope of addon. The ability to sort the enchants by slot. Please oh please this would be nice. I used to have an addon do this but it broke several patches ago.

Selling Price: The sellling price should be in the window next to Total Cost I like the auto pricing but honestly can’t remember what it tells people. This is probably one of the changes that would improve the feel of the addon.

Whisper prices: How about something like /esw as an alternative to /es whisper

Things I like the most are the auto pricing and the /es spam functions Thankyou very much for a great addon.

This add-on works great. No issues. Thank you so much.

I do have two suggestions though.

    1. Let the user customize the end tag line. [PST for lesser enchants] I’ve changed mine in the .lua but it would be nice for everybody to be able to /es tag-line [Free if you provide the mats] or something else.

    2. Any chance you could have another criteria (other than cost) for what enchants get advertised? Untill I hit 300, I might only want to advertise items that I might get skill credit for doing.

I noticed that it get conflict with some otheR addon i’m using. The enchantings disappear from my tradeskill window….

I’m using armorcraft, KC enanched trades, your ReagentCost, your AutoCraft.

I’ll make some attempt to see wich is the problem.

    Geat work anyway

  18. Sirs Says:

    Heya Gazmik

I run with AdSpace, DisenchantPredictor, EnchantSeller, ReagentCost and i love em all, made my life so much easier as an enchanter:) But i beg of u to listen to Nailz and i… in regards to Sort Enchant! i know its the easy way out asking u to make it work or make your own version, but u spoiled us so far with your current addons, so ill kneel down before u and on my bleeding knees beg of u to spoil us even more with some way of sorting our enchants:P
