At least on of my AddOns appears to have decided to use Rock. Where I’m supposed to have a nice tracking symbol, I’ve got Rock’s wonderful(?) symbol instead. Any ideas how to fix it?
This has got to be one of my favorite mods, I have to say. I don’t think I could ever function as my hunter if I went back to the old way of a multitude of buttons. I just wish there was something like this for aspects. I have looked for weeks now, with no luck.
The icon is now hidden, but the trackmenu appears when I move the mouse at the normal position of the icon. It works, but no more icon, impossible to know what tracking i’m using
Trackmenu is a great little mod. Using the current release 2.2, once I pick a category to track, the icon on the minimap disappears. Have you encountered this issue?
The icon on the minimap showing which tracking skill is active is part of Blizzard’s base UI. TrackMenu only attaches to it (and draws a dummy icon in its place when no tracking skill is active).
If another third-party addon removes or hides Blizzard’s tracking indicator… well, you won’t be able to see it. Disable the other addon, turn that feature off, or contact that addon’s author. Ccomments from other users indicate that at least one popular addon recently started doing this — ElkBuffBars. If you upgraded that addon when WoW Patch 2.2 cam out, you’ll find that it disables the tracking indicator by default. (Again, the no-tracking-skill-active icon is provided by TrackMenu, so that’ll still be visible even if antother addon hides the active tracking skill icon).
Likewise, if another third-party addon is putting up frames that obscure parts of Blizzard’s UI, it’s a problem with that addon… disable it or contact its author.
For some reason MetaMap (I patched it to run with 2.2) moves the tracking indicator so it partially overlaps the daytime indicator. Slightly annoying, but what the ….
Anyhow, you can still click on the old position and get the expected results with TrackMenu
But I think in the version 2.2, there is still some mistake on the depth of the invisible frame. When I open my bags, Trackmenu’s frame covers one of the bag slots, so I cannot put items into that slot or put out.
Hope you fix it in the next version.
Thanks Gazmik, checked the other addons and found the latest version of cartographer was overwriting the icon with its rock section. Disabling the rock interface in cartographer restored trackmenu nicely. 🙂
Hi there i have a small problem with the addon.. Sometimes it won´t attach to the minimap and cause there are no Options to move it so have i ask what to do? This gets me really mad but its a damn gr8 addon and when it works im pleased with it =) Keep it up
This addon seems to prevent Gatherer’s minimap icons from appearing on the minimap. I have not done a full addon-by-addon test, but it works when TrackMenu is disabled.
Hmm… maybe not. It seems that it was reloading the UI that fixed the problem, not actually disabling TrackMenu. I have also since noticed that Gatherer is working alongside TrackMenu on another character that I haven’t played in ages.
Any chance you can make a new minimap menu for aspects (i know that fishing buddy creates its own minimap button) just started using this today and i now have 5 free spaces on my menu bars thanks to this wonderful addon.

Since the 2.2 update, the icon on the minimap depicting which item is being tracked doesn’t work, will this be fixed?

Gazmik, I <3 your mods, especially the hunter ones 🙂 keep it up!
I just ask one feature: ability to move the minimap icon for the trackmenu.

I like this addon very much. Simple and useful.

This is another request to allow the button to be movable around the minimap.
